Calling all pretenders. We are looking for the big baller. The shot caller. Just kidding, we are looking to crown "The Oracle". Who makes all the right calls this year? Mr. Armstrong, uh, don't bother. We know you are not for real. You got beat by the First Lady in the NFL Playoffs Contest for goodness sake. (Congrats to the younger Mr. Kins for winning that one in a head to head Super Bowl battle, winner take all style)
Here are the rules:
There are no rules (except be super crystal clear as to what you are predicting). The categories below are optional. Answer as many or as few as you like. You can make additional predictions. The winner will be decided by a committee of me (just me) and there are no rules as to how I will make the decision. Volume of accuracy could win it but then again maybe only one incredible mind blowing prediction could as well. No idea and no promises. Be creative or go f@ck yourself. I don't really care.

National Champion (Obvious What we are looking for here, right?)
Final Four (Equally obvious. Getting all four right is better than getting three right, got it?)
Dark Horse Final Four (Looking for the lowest seeded team to make the Final Four.)
Elite Eight Cinderella (Same deal. Lowest seeded team that makes the Elite Eight.)
Biggest First Round Upset (Do you have the nuts to take a 16? If yes, then you are simply nuts.)
Those are the biggies but here are some more...
Top Seed Survivor Pick (First One Seed eliminated.)
Cinderella Search (Last 12-16 seed eliminated.)
Conference Chumps (Which conference has the most losses in the first round?)
Again, answer all or just a few in you want. Offer up some your own as well. Being a dick and copying someone's picks will not impress me but making fun of someone's picks might.

That would mean i would need to write everything down. And when ur as fuckin badass as me when it comes to March Madness it just comes to you. Its nothing that needs studied or anything like that, it just comes to you. It has taken me three days to fill my brackets out. ReplyDeleteFinal Four- UNC vs Wisconsin and Kentucky vs Mizzu. My dark horse here is #4 Wisconsin but I do think Cinci has a good shot to get to the final foe. That East Bracket has me struggling. I could see alot of diff teams emerging here and getting to the final four.

ReplyDeleteSaved my predictions for last so I could make fun of you guys first but then didn't get around to reading everyone else's picks so...I am a loser. But still...let me tell you how this is going to work....
ReplyDeleteUNC will be raising the trophy come April (Duh...that is obvious). I think everyone is probably taking Syracuse to be the first number one seed to go down and I suppose I will too.
I really like Michigan State as an underdog number one seed. I have been hearing alot of trashing Sparty but that is a mistake. They will make the final four along with Kentucky and Ohio State. There are five or six teams that are just better than everyone else this year and so I think the Cinderella's this year will be limited. I would have taken Florida State but then they went and won the ACC tourney and grabbed a three seed making them a non-cinderella.
Got a big upset in round one. I like BYU over Marquette. One thing that we are eventually going to realize is the play-in game is an unfair advantage. Its like the NFL playoffs, wild card teams battling for survival while the top seeds sit home and drink cocoa. This is especially true for teams that lose early in their conference tourney's and then have to come out and play a team that has already got the rust off and got a taste of winning in the tourney. Last year was VCU. This year will be BYU.
Murray State is a safe pick for a Cinderella run into the Elite Eight but I like NC State (ACC homer? Maybe.) They get a mid major six seed San Diego State (not exactly the caliber of opponent they have been playing for a few months) and then Georgetown (Big East hater? Maybe.).
I would pick the Big Ten to be the conference that pisses the bed even though I have Big Ten teams going long into the tourney. I think those teams should win their games but no conference is as capable of putting up a 45 point effort in a big game like the Big Ten. Call it defense or slow white dudes missing jumpers, whatever your preference.

Well it looks like Goddys first bracket may get busted thanks to colorado st. Im not sure if i said this already but i LOVE Cincy to the final four. The East is wide open.
